Why we exist

We currently offer at our Wallsend counselling centre quality counselling services in areas of; • drug, alcohol & gambling addiction, support for families and loved-ones of addicted people • marital & relational breakdown • family • loneliness & depression • eating disorders • grief • financial • nouthetic (biblical) counselling for practicing Christians We also run seminars and workshops at extremely affordable rates on several subjects including parenting, drug awareness, divorce and separation recovery etc. For our face-to-face cognitive counselling, we extensively use MARET counselling computer software which helps us help the client by great streamlining the information gathering process and saving the client much trauma.

Who does the counselling?

Dr. Rick Burley is the counselling director and he is assisted by Ps. Kathleen Burley. They have several tertiary qualifications in several forms and disciplines of counselling between them. We also use other trained and qualified counsellors from time to time, especially in specialist areas such as financial etc. We are happy to operate in tandem with medical practitioners and often refer clients to doctors and/or other health professionals.
